USA Farm Policy

Greetings 119th United States Congress!

January 3, 2025 -January 2, 2027


We need more than corn and soybeans on our plates! Small scale farmers with diverse timber, fruit, vegetable and livestock growing operations need support! Now!

In light of developing international shipping trends, climate change, and geopolitical instability, it is imperative that Congress rebuild farmers markets in every county and establish tax incentives for local economic models to flourish. Failure to invest in regional food production, manufacturing, and harvest  preservation undermines the ability, as a nation, to provide for the needs of its citizens during times of crisis. The Covid-19 Pandemic proved that our exceedingly complex food distribution network is a national security risk. 

- Congress will ensure $1,000 weekly stipends paid directly to farmers growing produce on 5 acres or less.
- Congress will provide funds for the installation of agroforestry plantings in deforested regions of the country.
- Congress will commit to build four-season farmer´s markets in every county. Look to North Carolina, they are leading the way.
- Congress will provide funds to construct distribution hubs (rail and truck) in every state for local produce.
- Congress will provide $25,000 towards to the purchase of land to Veterans seeking to start a farm on 5 acres or fewer.
- Congress will enact and fund a bill to release non-violent prisoners interested in farming and provide:
- An acre of land, agroforestry and farming education, and a tiny home.
- Funding for this program will be provided by the cost savings associated with reducing the prisoner population.
-  Congress will create the East Coast Greenhouse Corp. to install greenhouses from Maine to Georgia using the designs of Russ Finch.
